Ramblings in general...

I probably need to have a topic to this damn blog, but I don't. I pretty much just post whatever the hell it is I'm thinking about at the time. But that's cool with you, right? (It's not like anyone reads this thing anyway. Maybe if I updated it more often...)

CD's I'm recommending lately:

Various Artists - Nightmare Revisited
Apocalyptica - Worlds Collide
Metallica - Death Magnetic (yes, it's better than St. Anger)

Check them out.

I Don't Know What Else I Can Do

It's been a long time coming. I've been having financial problems. It's irritating, but life goes on. I just hate having to wait until tax season for stupid little things like getting my teeth fixed or going to the doctor. I guess I need a second job. One of these days it'll all fall into place, I hope.

Update (cause I don't do it enough)

Here's what's going on.

Nine Inch Nails new album, The Slip, is being released in a physical format in July (vinyl in August). For full details check out nin.com

Life slowly goes on. My oldest daughter will be 10 Sunday. My son, Ben, will be 2 exactly a week after that. Lots of presents to buy.

Don't know what else to say at the moment. I'll try to take this thing to another level one of these days.

It's been a VERY long time since I've posted. On March 22, 2008, my youngest son, Ian Michael Gremillion, passed away. The official cause of death was SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). It's been a rough month, but we're doing as well as could be expected. Ian, Daddy misses you.

Scattered

Yeah, it's been a while since my last post. If you read ETS, though, you've probably seen me around. Anyway, I bought a '91 Honda Accord 2 door 5 speed. Fixed it up. I love my car. It rides so good. And since it's my car to do with as I wish (instead of the nice family car my wife drives) I spray-painted stencils on the back. Looks totally wicked. I'm also almost done with the DVD I've been putting together at work. That'll be a relief (since I've been working on it for 8 or 9 months now). Not much else really happening right now. Peace.

Hmmm....

Ok, here's what's been up lately. I bought a '91 Honda Accord 5-speed. Needs a fuel pump and throw-out bearing. Other than that, it's in great shape. I hope to fix it Sunday and be driving back and forth by Monday if at all possible. Wish me luck.

Welcome to the Machine

The recording industry is screwing up. So are CNET's journalists. Check it out.

(from nin.com January 21, 2008 entitled "Bigmouth strikes again" by Trent Reznor)
I was asked by Saul's camp to do some press with CNET explaining my position on releasing Saul's download numbers to the public. It seemed like a good opportunity to explain where I was coming from. We spoke for over an hour and I left the conversation thinking I'd cleared up the misconception that I thought the entire release of "niggytardust" was a failure.

Well, it appears the story was written before I was involved, and I woke up the next day to find out I'm a supporter of an ISP tax. Thanks, CNET. I believe I was asked for possible solutions for the recording industry to which I replied something along the lines of "perhaps an additional 5 dollars on your ISP bill that allowed you complete, easy access to all the music in the world would work". Of course in reality this would never work because it would require accurate accounting, agreement among thieves, etc. And, who the fuck cares what I think about this, anyway?Well, that became the attention-grabbing headline and thanks to Google alerts I can see that lazy journalists all through the internet love a good headline to borrow.

Aside from all that...Here's a good read a friend sent:http://observer.guardian.co.uk/omm/story/0,,2241544,00.html

My Car

Well, yesterday I got my new (to me, anyway) car registered. It took FOREVER. If you ever decide to get a salvage title in Louisiana, make sure the car is worth the work and fees. This one is. Definatly.

Formation of BJ's Brain

Today is the first day of my new blog. I've also just opened a facebook account. Yeah, I know, I've been out of touch (unless you happen to hang out at ETS, and if you know what I'm talking about then you possibly know who I am).

Anyway, I'll update when there's something new. Until then, check out my Nine Inch Nails remixes at remix.nin.com (bjgrem's mixes)
